Goethe Business School (GBS) is the exclusive educational platform for business executives and professionals at Goethe University Frankfurt. Founded in 2004, GBS offers a selection of part-time Master's programs, open certificate programs for individuals, and tailor-made programs for organizations. The part-time master's programs offered by GBS are Finance (MA), Pharma of Business Administration (MBA), and Digital Transformation Management (MBA).

All GBS programs are held in the House of Finance on Campus Westend. Campus Westend is often regarded as one of the most visually appealing campuses in Germany, as it is both modern and encircled by several green spaces, such as Grüneburgpark, which borders Frankfurt's botanical garden 'Palmengarten.' Furthermore, Campus Westend is known for its number of cafeterias, coffee shops, and diverse libraries.

Part-Time Master in Finance (MA)

The part-time Master in Finance offered by GBS targets working professionals who want to qualify for a career in the financial sector. The program provides the possibility to specialize in either Financial Technology Management or Risk Management & Regulation and can be completed within three semesters plus the Master Thesis in the fourth. The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute has acknowledged the Master in Finance as a CFA Program Partner. The recognition signifies that students pursuing the Master's in Finance engage in a study program that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and real-world professional practice. The course is taught entirely in English and begins in April each year.

Part-Time Master of Pharma Business Administration (MBA)

The part-time Master of Pharma Business Administration offered by GBS targets professionals working in the pharmaceutical industry. It is the only part-time MBA program in Europe with a dedicated focus on the pharmaceutical industry since 2016. The program was created in close collaboration with the House of Pharma & Healthcare and provides a one-of-a-kind blend of essential business principles and specialized management expertise tailored for the pharmaceutical industry. The program starts in October each year and is taught in English.

Part-Time Master of Digital Transformation Management (MBA)

The part-time Digital Transformation Management MBA is designed for professionals looking to advance and improve their skills in the digital industry. This MBA was composed in partnership with the House of Digital Transformation. The course is job-compatible and allows students to work while they study. The curriculum is in English and is a mixture of theory and real-life application to give students an insight into several fields in the industry. Furthermore, this part-time master's program offers specialization options in Data Science or Digital Transformation Management. The course spans four semesters, with lectures every two weeks on Fridays and Saturdays, and starts in October each year.

Executive Education

GBS offers executive education options in finance, digital transformation, pharma, and general management. GBS provides open enrollment courses, certificate programs for individuals, such as the Open Program courses, and customized solutions designed to suit the specific needs of companies or teams. The focus is on fostering the personal development of professionals and supporting companies in finding innovative solutions to real challenges through a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

Open Programs

Open Program means that professionals are flexible in selecting from a diverse array of courses offered in the degree programs of GBS, which can be pursued individually and without the need for formal student status. These courses are conducted in English and are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays, and students will be awarded a certificate of participation at the end.

Customized Programs

GBS's Customized Programs stand out as distinct and personalized solutions, deviating from standard off-the-shelf formats. These programs are individually crafted to meet clients' specific needs, involving a collaborative approach to co-create content and design. The main goal is to facilitate a transformation in company culture, enhance business processes, and equip management teams with practical leadership skills.

Executive Education Asia

Executive Education Asia serves as the specialized division of Goethe Business School, focusing on creating tailor-made advanced education initiatives for executives and senior managers from Asian nations. This department is dedicated to providing exclusive programs that cater to the specific professional development needs of individuals in leadership positions within the Asian region.

Accreditation

The Faculty of Economics and Business was among the pioneering faculties in Germany to receive the prestigious accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2005. From that point onward, the faculty has continually upheld the highest standards of excellence in research and teaching throughout its academic offerings, which also encompass the GBS Master's programs.
